Musicien, interprète, enseignant du rythme et de la polyphonie aux danseurs et acteurs du Conservatoire de Mons, Baptiste Vaes dirige des chœurs depuis une trentaine d’années, consacrés aux chants traditionnels et à l’improvisation vocale. Il se produit régulièrement sur scène comme chanteur, improvisateur et chef de chœur. Baptiste a étudié l’improvisation libre dans la classe de Garrett List au Conservatoire de Liège et s’est formé à la thérapie par le son et la musique avec Pat Muffit Cook avant de découvrir le pouvoir restructurant et régénérant du processus rythmique TaKeTiNa et de se former lui-même en Australie auprès du fondateur Reinhard Flatischler et Tania Bosak. Il facilite cette pratique depuis mars 2013 et a obtenu la certification de Senior Teacher TaKeTiNa en novembre 2024.
Musician, performer, teacher of rhythm and polyphony for dancers and actors at the Conservatory of Mons, Baptiste Vaes has been directing choirs for around thirty years, dedicated to traditional songs and vocal improvisation. He performs regularly on stage as a singer, improviser and choir leader. Baptiste studied free improvisation in the class of Garett List at the Conservatory of Liège and trained in Sound and Music Healing with Pat Muffit Cook before he discovered the restructuring and regenerating power of the TaKeTiNa rhythmic process and trained himself in Australia with the founder Reinhard Flatischler and Master teacher Tania Bosak. He has been facilitating this practice since March 2013 and completed the certification as a Senior TaKeTiNa Teacher in November 2024.
